Hi Arjan,

first of all I need more information about your RFID reader.
It should be accesed using a Serial Port an should then send some Tag-specific code to the computer. Does pRFID work for your reader as it is?

I suppose it will be quite easy to change the functions of pRFID according to your needs, I could help you (or even do it for you).

Cheers,
Florian

Hi Florian

I am wondering if you can help me. My cycling club are looking into a race timer using a long range UHF RFID reader. I am not familiar with programming but how hard would it be to modify your program to first accept the data from this reader. Learn tags into a database and have a start / stop timer function that records "known" tags and their name and time then outputs to a .csv file once the stop button is pushed.

I am not asking you to do this but would love for you to give me some idea of how hard it would be and some theory about how to go about doing this?

Regards

I thinks pollin also ships to the US, I'm not sure. But you should be able to buy the Arduino Ethernet Shield in the US. It is also an AVR networking board. It's a little more expensive and smaller, but maybe better for beginners.
